But Christa can't deny the earthquake of desire that shakes her to her very core every time she sees Keri. She wants to kiss her, touch her, hold her, and re-explore every inch of her body.
Little does Christa realize that the white-hot passion they share isn't enough to mend their tattered relationship. That will require patience, communication, and--hardest for both of them--trust.

Good read

Have you ever wished you could have a do-over to change the outcome of a good relationship gone bad? That's exactly what happens to Christa when her ex-partner, Keri, comes back to their home town to take a job. At first Christa has no intention of letting Keri break her heart again. As Christa confronts her own role in the tattered relationship, though, she starts to understand that she, too, contributed to the death of the relationship, and she starts to believe that maybe, if she can change her ways, she and Keri really will get a Second Chance.
Second Chance is another fun lesbian romance by Judy Folger. The novel introduces the feisty character of Christa (who plays a part in two subsequent Folger novels, Susan's Choice and Dangerous Reunion). Other memorable characters are Christa's mother, Esther, and Christa's bosses, Billie and Nora. And then, of course, there is Keri herself who is not afraid to stand up to Christa and give her a dose of tough love.
This book is perfect for anyone--gay or straight--who enjoys the romance genre with side helpings of both comedy and pathos. Five stars from me.

Twists, turns and an awesome storyline!

I loved this book! it has an awesome story, many twists and turns and its an emotional roller coaster! just when she had me laughing, the next chapter would have me near tears. the characters come to life and you feel like you really get to know them. I can't wait to read Susan's Choice to see what happens next!! Oh and there's just the right amount of "bedroom" scenes to keep the romantics happy! ;o) Judy Folger has quickly become my new favorite author!

I Was Mad Because it Ended...

In this novel, Christa gets a rare second chance - to rebuild a relationship with her lost love, Keri. Like many of us, though, she lets pride and fear stand in her way. The book is about how Christa tears down her barriers...but will she be able to transform herself before Keri gives up and walks away?
This is romance at its best, with strong characters, all the drama you could imagine, and some humor thrown in as well. I can't wait for the sequel!
